25 Things to do in April

4/2/2017

Happy April! I hope you are had a great weekend, and didn't get too caught up in all of the April Fool's jokes. I often find that at this time of the year, routine can become a little boring, and it is harder to find each and every day unique and fun. That is why, for the month of April, I want to try and do one thing everyday to keep the whole month interesting. Don't let the April Showers get to you!

  1. Sing in the rain - bonus points if you sing "Singin' in the Rain"
  2. Read a picture book - it may seem weird, but children's books are have an immense amount of effort put into them, as they are made for children and the parent reading it to them, so give it a try!
  3. Do a puzzle!
  4. Learn a song on piano/guitar/ukulele/etc.
  5. Go out for coffee (with friends, family, or on your own)
  6. Visit your local park
  7. Find a cool (preferably used) bookstore and buy an old novel
  8. Go thrift shopping - you'd be surprised at how many cool items you can find
  9. Take a photo everyday (or, use the app "1 Second Everyday", make one for the month of April!)
  10. Write a poem - there are many beautiful things to write about in Spring :)
  11. Visit a farm - a lot of farms do festivals or other forms of opening at the beginning of spring, see what you have nearby.
  12. Take a walk - through your neighborhood, to the grocery store, whatever you can do.
  13. Clean! - a little Spring refresh can include anything from dusting and washing to going through and organizing things you own
  14. Make a home cooked meal - try and see how many fresh fruits and vegetables you can use, many are starting to come back into season after the winter months.
  15. Meet someone new - stay away from stranger danger, but try and meet someone new this month from a friend or activity
  16. Spa Day! - take a bath, use a face mask, just relax...
  17. Paint - anything from watercolor to finger painting, art is art!
  18. Listen to new music - we all love our favorite songs, but how do you know if you are missing out on something if you don't listen?
  19. Exercise - run a mile outside, lift weights at the gym, take a yoga class, etc.
  20. Donate to a local organization
  21. Watch a cartoon - from your childhood or today
  22. Wear a dress - sometimes it is hard to get back into the swing (get it?) of things when the weather gets warmer, and wearing something nice boosts confidence!
  23. Plant! - whether it is a small indoor cactus or some nice colorful flowers for outside, it is a great way to welcome Spring
  24. Watch the sunrise - I know it involves getting up early, but the view is worth it
  25. Random act of kindness - be nice and spread positivity :)

There you go! I hope this blog post brings you some inspiration to either create your own list of things to do this month, or follow what I have here. It can make every day just a little bit more interesting and worth looking forward to. Have a fantastic week!
xx Hanna
