It is almost Christmas! Whether you celebrate it or not, the sweaters sold in stores at this time of year are too cute to avoid. Last year, I realised that I didn't own a single holiday sweater, and vowed to buy one each year as a tradition. One day, I hope to have a holiday sweater for every day of december, by building it up over time. Today I am showing you the 2 that I currently own, both very different, but very cute!
The Christmas sweater pictured above is the first that I ever added to my collection, back in 2015. It was very soft, simple, and cute. I am personally not a big fan of glittery, shiny clothes, and a lot of holiday sweaters tend to have that, so I loved that this one was festive, but basic. Here is where everything is from:
Sweater: Forever 21
Jeans: American Eagle
Here is a closer look at the details on the sweater. It is kind of night color with stars and christmas trees, and santa pattern. It is also tight fitted and cropped, which is very different to the regular, bulky sweaters. It is great if you want to be suttle at an ugly christmas party.
This sweater is the one I purchased this year, and suprisingly all the items in the outfit are from the same stores as the last look! I found this sweater in the mens section, because for some reason, the sweaters there always seem to be better than the womens section (a LOT less glitter). Despite the fact that I bought it just lask week, I cannot seem to find it on the website. Here is where everything is from:
Sweater: Forever 21
Jeans: American Eagle
Also, if you haven't noticed already, it has snowed! I thought it was the perfect time to take photos, and it feels like Christmas is almost here! I love the colorful lights on this sweater, it kind of reminded me of Stranger Things when I saw it. It is very big, because it is from the men's section, but I love the oversized look, and it is extra comfy.
I hope you enjoyed this festive outfit post! Do you own any holiday sweaters, or know a good place to get some? Let me know in the comments below. I want to try and find a cute one from a different store next year, so I would love to hear your input. Have a fantastic week! I might skip posting next Sunday because it will be Christmas, so I hope you have a happy holiday!
Happy Sunday! Tomorrow is Halloween already, fall is passing by so quickly! In recent months, overalls have come back into style, especially in dress form. I finally picked up a pair, and have been obsessed with wearing it recently, because it is so versatile. Today I am sharing with you two very different ways to style an overall dress, one for more warmer weather, and the other for when it gets cold. I hope you enjoy it!
Here is the first look. I wore this when it was a semi-warm day, and was extremely comfortable. The soft corduroy material of the dress sits nicely and the unique style works with any outfit. Here is where everything is from:
On the day that I wore this outfit, I was right near a park where the fall foliage was in full bloom. Thus, I took advantage and freely posed on bridges and benches in the park, so enjoy some fancier photos. It was a lot colder on this day, and you can see that with the clothes I'm wearing compared to the last outfit
Here is a closer view of what I am wearing. This outfit is more neutral colors, and I styled my hair curled with two half-up space buns. I really enjoy this hairstyle, especially if you have short hair, although it is a hassle to try and get them symmetrical. Here is where everything I am wearing is from:
Jacket: Forever 21
The different materials and layers of this outfit make it feel really grunge, or a very tough look. It is also very warm with the jacket and boots, and if it was even colder, I would've considered adding in some tights.
That concludes the two different ways to style an overall dress. I hope that these looks brought you some inspiration for your fall outfit planning. Let me know in the comments below if you enjoyed having a some different photo scenes in the second outfit, because I will try to do it more often. Also, what are you being for Halloween this year? Have a spooky week!
It's apple season! Apples are some of my favorite fruits, and I find time each year to take a day and go apple picking. Here are my photos from picking, and my outfit that matched the apples :)
The farm I went to this year to pick was the same as my pumpkin picking farm from last year, Riamede Farms. The place is devoted to only apples and pumpkins, so they are focused on and high-quality. It was also very quiet when I visited, and I highly recommend getting the apple cider donuts if you're there on a weekend.
Here is my look for picking. I picked something warm, because I knew it would be windy in the fields. I also decided to go with boots instead of sneakers, since it had the possibility of being muddy. Here is where everything is from:
Bottom: American Eagle
Along with going apple picking, I also picked up a few pumpkins to use for carving for Halloween later this year. The farm was beautiful as always, with stunning flowers, pumpkins, and other things near the cash register. Below are the pumpkins picked (a small, medium, and a large!) all found on the vine.
I was especially happy when I found this corn that matched the color of my sweater. This is probably my favorite fall color of all time. I just love the rich dark red color, it reminds me of apples, leaves, and now this corn!
That concludes this blog post! I hope you found it full of everything fall brings. I am so happy that fall is here, and I am taking advantage of every moment I can. What are you doing this fall? Let me know in the comments below. I hope you have a fantastic week!
Today is the last of three back to school outfits. It can be hard picking out an outfit for the first day of school, and that is why I put together a bunch of looks, each with a unique style and theme. If you find that today's style doesn't fit your own, check below this post for some more options. Enjoy!
Metallic & Retro
When I found that way that the shirt, shoes, and necklace compliment each other on this outfit, I was ecstatic. I had found these gold colored Vans on the clearance rack at DSW, and I knew it was meant to be. What I didn't know was if I had anything I could wear with them. Now, after trying to come up with outfits with these shoes, I realized that gold goes with everything. Keep that in mind next time you go shoe shopping and don't try to talk yourself out of buying the metallic pair you always wanted. Here is where everything in this outfit is from:
Top: Brandy Mellville
Here is a close up of the shoes so you can see just how shiny they are! What I loved most about the pair was how they were metallic, but not sparkly. I can not handle giant sparkles on clothes, but an airbrush of shine is the perfect amount.
With a closer look at the necklace, you can see that it is also gold colored. The two gold accessories bring out the yellow-creme color of the tee shirt. I loved both the stripes and fit of this tee shirt, it reminded me of a retro, 80's style look. If I had a pair of baggy overalls (which are on my list to find) they would go perfect with this top.
That is the end of my back to school outfit posts for this year! If I missed out on your style, tell me in the comments below, and I will make sure to feature it next year. Also, if you want to check out my other back to school outfits, from either this year of last year, take a look at the links below this post. I hope you have a magnificent week!

Back to School Outfits from 2015
Woo-hoo! It's already time for another back to school outfit post. Picking out an outfit for the first day of school can be a hard decision, but with the help from my style and theme oriented looks, you will be more than ready by the time school starts. Today's look takes on a whole new style for back-to-school, and I hope you enjoy it!
Girly & Fun
If you are looking for a flouncy, fun look for the first day of school, a dress is the go-to. I wear a lot more dresses and skirts than the average person, because I find they can be comfier than jeans and can look professional and put-together. This dress combines the popular tie-up top with a fun fall color, making it great for back-to-school. Here is where everything is from:
With a side view it is a lot easier to see the height and style of the shoes I am wearing. I hate wearing high heels, and you will often find me wearing sneakers with every dress. Despite my loathing of uncomfortable shoes, I found these platforms and fell in love. They go with any outfit, and give some height, without your feet being vertical to the ground. Plus, it gives an aura for slightly larger feet, which is perfect for people with very tiny feet.
Here is a closer look of the rings I am wearing with this look. They came in a set of 5, with these three gold colored, and another two which are silver. I loved these rings because they are delicate and simple, similar to all the jewelry I wear. I am picky with jewelry and I don't want like anything bulky that will annoy me throughout the day, because I'll end up taking it off after 5 minutes. Therefore, I tend to choose thin, light stands that feel like I am not wearing anything, but add a hint of color to the outfit.
I hope this look inspired you in picking out the perfect look for the first day of school. If you found that this look didn't fit your style, check out my links below this post for other outfits, each with a different style and theme. Let me know in the comments if I haven't covered your style yet, and I will aim to do it either this year or the next. There will be one more outfit in my back to school collection for this year, so keep your eyes peeled on social media. Have a happy day!

Back to School Outfits from 2015
Yes, it is finally becoming my favorite time of the year for clothes. Although most people love wearing shorts all summer long, I am usually checking the weather to see when it will be cool enough for me to wear pants. I did a little shopping the past few weeks to replace anything that had been damaged or that I had grown out of. I also got a few new fashion essentials to add to my closet, and make it look newer. Today I will show you the first of three back to school outfits, all with a unique style and theme.
Comfy & Casual
One of the things I picked up while going back to school shopping was a pair of Boyfriend Jeans. These type of jeans always reminded me of what I pictured painters and artists wearing. As soon as I tried them on, I was hooked. They are baggy, super comfy, and can give any outfit a totally different look. I also liked how they are meant to be rolled up, because I tend to do that with a lot of jeans anyways when they're too long. Here is where everything is from:
Belt: T.J. Maxx
Here is a close up of the shirt and the choker. I got the choker in a set of 2, both very simple and delicate. I have never purchased this kind of necklace before, but I am obsessed now. They seem to make every outfit better, and the ones coming into style now are very simple delicate, which fits my style. I picked this tee-shirt because of the way it fit, the material makes it slouch in the right place, and it is not too tight, but not too loose. It is hard to find the right shirt to go with boyfriend jeans because a big, baggy shirt can ruin the look, and a tight shirt can make the jeans look really big.
With a closer look at the bracelet, you can see that it matches the pendant on the choker. I just wanted to note that I did not intend on this while buying these, and I was so pleased when I realized at home.
Here is a closer look on the bottom half of the outfit. The jeans have wide holes that fell (for me) right under the knee, and cute off before my shoes. I did roll them up a little to make them fit me better, and I find that overall they worked out pretty well. I was scared at first when trying to style them, because I thought I wouldn't be able to make it work, but I think I will be wearing these a lot this year. I paired the look with sneakers because it makes the look "fall", but if it were spring, I would have worn tan sandals.
That concludes the first of three back to school outfit posts! I hope this helps you when deciding what to wear for the first day of school. It can be very hard picking out the perfect outfit, which is why I designed these by style, so you can pick the one that fits you best. If you want to see more different types of styles, I will have the links below for my three back to school outfit posts from last year. Let me know in the comments when school starts for you! There might be another post with a new outfit between now and next Sunday, so keep your eyes peeled on social media ;) Have an incredible week!
Back to School Outfits from 2015
Since I didn't post last week, I decided to do a little double-feature on the blog today. It will feature an outfit and an excursion. One of my favorite things to do in summer (and in general) is picking fresh fruits and vegetables. If you've seen a post in late fall about pumpkin picking, then you might remember the farm in this post. But first, I am going to show you a summer outfit that is comfortable, yet simple. It includes layers that'll fit any changing summer weather. Enjoy!
Here is the look. I chose to include all solid colors, but many different materials to keep it from looking flat. A few bracelets and a delicate necklace also give the look a pop. The jean shirt can be used if the weather is colder or windy, but can be tied around the waist when it is hot. Here is where everything is from:
Top: Brandy Melville
Jean Top: H&M
Here is a close up of the look with the jean shirt on. You can roll it up or down depending on your liking. I would have liked to add more bracelets, but I wanted to keep the lightness of the look.
At Alstede Farms today, there was a blueberry festival to celebrate the peak of the blueberry season. It was a perfect excuse to take the drive and do some picking. Once there, I saw the giant center filled with activities for kids, food, and farm animals. The first thing I had to do was take tons of pictures of the cute animals.
Next up was paying admission and then wandering in the fields of fresh raspberries, peaches, and blueberries. Everything was fresh and very quiet, because the farm is gigantic and spread out nicely.
After taking the free hay ride back to the main center and paying for the fresh goodies, I took my place in the long line for ice cream. I ended up sharing a soft serve vanilla blueberry ice cream and a blueberry apple cider slushy. Everything was homemade and delicious. (Also it is National Ice Cream Day -- what a happy coincidence!)
I hope you liked the double-feature post on the blog today! As Hannah Montana would say, it really is the "best of both worlds" with this post ;) Let me known if you want to see more posts like this. Also, do you like berry picking as much as I do? Have a fantastic week!
I can't believe it is already July! It feels like summer started yesterday. With that in mind, the 4th of July is tomorrow, and in the US, we all know what that means. Barbecues, fun, and fireworks are just a few of the amazing activities that take up this weekend. For me, an outfit makes everything better. That is why I'm showing you my look for the 4th this year. I hope it gives you some inspiration for your own outfit.
Here it is! I think it has a nice balance of red white and blue, which can be hard when making an outfit. I really wanted to include jean, because it is America's material in my opinion. I picked my lovely blue jean skirt and a tight fitting red and white top to go with it. My shoes and hat are white to make the look more fitting, but keep the main part of the outfit the focus.
Here is a close up of the front. As you can see, this outfit is meant for mainly warm weather, but you could add a sweater or tights if you live in a colder area. Here is where the base of the outfit is from:
Top: American Eagle
Skirt: PacSun - Bullhead Denim
I chose to wear my very patriotic white converse with the ought. I love these shoes because they have red, white, and blue in them, making them the perfect shoe for the 4th. I also grabbed an small old flag, which can be used as an accessory to wave around at a parade, or just walk around with.
Lastly, here is a quick close up of the top, so that you can see the stripes a bit clearer. Also unseen before, I am wearing a choker necklace. It doesn't match the outfit, but is the only one I own. I think a choker really accents the outfit, and gives it an extra pop.
That concludes my 4th of July post. I hope that this outfit brought you some inspiration of what to wear tomorrow. I typically find it very hard picking the perfect outfit, and sometimes even shop for a shirt or other clothing item that can be used specifically for this holiday. Have a great time on the 4th, along with a fabulous week.
There is finally a new outfit post on the blog, hooray! As you might have seen already, I have been wearing a lot of dresses recently. I find that the time in-between seasons is perfect weather for dresses. They're great at both keeping you warm, cool, and comfy all at once. Here is a dress I think is great for a cool spring day, when the sun is out and shining, but there may be a breeze or a bit of rain.
Ta da! Although it may look like nothing special, this outfit is probably one of the most comfiest articles of clothing I own. The long sleeved dress is great for wearing down, or scrunching up if you get hot. The dress is also not tight-fit, so it is very breathable and bouncy. Plus, the classy pattern dresses up the look, making it acceptable to wear to work or a casual party. I paired the look with sneakers because the weather isn't warm enough to wear sandals yet. Here is where everything is from.
Dress: American Eagle
Here is a closer view on the pattern of the dress. Sorry for the weird way I'm holding it, it was very windy outside. I am wearing 2 bracelets on my wrist to accent the dress a little. Since the neckline cuts low and has the tie (which I love - it is so original and cute!) there is little possibility to wear a necklace. Therefore, I threw a splash of color on my wrist, and it makes the outfit look less plain.
I hope you enjoyed reading today's post! I am very happy to get back to regular posting of outfits, and other things. Also, the weather is finally starting to get warmer, and I'm itching for summer vacation. Let me know in the comments if you have an obsession with dresses (like me), and/or you want to see more posts similar to this. Have a fantastic week!
Last minute, I threw on this outfit in a spontaneous Sunday brunch plan. Comfy and cute, this outfit is perfect for going out to a late breakfast on an almost Spring morning.
I find this look to be the perfect combination of dressed-up, yet comfy. The dress is what gives the look a more upscale vibe, but it is made completely out of sweater material, so it is super comfy. The scarf accents the look by giving it a pop, and keeping the look warm. I chose to wear boots with this so as to keep it casual. The look is simple, and would be acceptable to wear at most breakfast places for brunch. Here is where everything I am wearing is from:
Scarf: JCPenny (similar)
In sum, that was my small post for this week. Hopefully, the look is fitting to the weather near you. Here, it has that almost-spring vibe where you could get away with wearing a light coat or heavy sweater outside, instead of a giant winter coat. I am excited for spring and warmth, and also scared my allergies will be coming soon. Do you like spring? Or have you feared it because of allergies/bugs? Let me know your thoughts in the comments below. Have an outstanding week!
