Transitioning into Spring

3/25/2018

Spring is here, but the weather that comes with it may not have hit where you live yet. But don't let all of the cute spring clothing in the stores let you down! There are plenty of fun ways to slowly incorporate your spring wardrobe into your everyday outfits. Below, I have created a couple of outfits that are great for this transitioning period, organized by the temperature where you live. I hope you take some inspiration from this post in your own outfit planning!

40's (°F)

When it starts to get above freezing, it may feel like time to break out the short-sleeves, but it is still too cold for that in reality. Instead, try some ripped jeans and a lighter sweater. In this outfit, I chose an off the shoulder sweater that I often find myself cold in if I wear it below freezing, but it is perfect for this weather. Here is where everything is from:
Sweater: JC Penny
Jeans: Hollister
Shoes: Converse
Necklace: Aeropostale

50's (°F)

Don't be ashamed to bring back some fall favorites in the 50's! This type of weather always reminds me of fall, and I will often wear fall colors and items in the hopes of it being my favorite season. Nonetheless, a lot of these items can be styled into a Spring/Summer outfit when the weather gets warmer! Here is where everything is from:
Top: Charlotte Russe
Skirt: Pacsun
Boots: DSW
Bracelet: Alex and Ani

Here is a closer look at the sleeve detail, and the bracelet.

60's (°F )

By the time it reaches the 60's, I am ready to pull out the short sleeves. In order to combat being too cold, I often add an extra layer, for example a cardigan, hoodie, or in this case, some tights. This added protection can keep you warm in the cold parts of the day, but you won't be sweating when it finally reaches 65°F . Here is where everything is from:
Top: American Eagle (I tied it in a knot to make it cropped)
Jeans: Aeropostale
Belt: Walmart
Shoes: Vans
Tights: JC Penny
Chocker: Aeropostale

That concludes my post of the week! I hope that spring weather is at your door, or will be there soon, as I know I am tired of the cold weather. If you create an outfit inspired from this post, make sure to tag me on social media, I would love to see it. Have a great week!
