In the middle of winter, weather can vary a lot, so it is good to wear multiple heavy layers. Today I have 2 of my favorite outfits that use layering to its advantage. 1. CasualThis outfit is something you would find me wearing on a lazy day. I have on one of favorite pair of leggings and a green hoodie. Adding the denim jacket and accented shoes really create the look into something more interesting. I added a few pins and buttons onto the jacket to spice it up a bit more. Here is where everything is from: Sweatshirt: H&M Leggings: JC Penny Denim Jacket: Old Navy Sneakers: DSW Here is a closer look at the top. It can be worn with rolled up sleeves, or rolled down, depending on the weather. I love the long pull ties on the hoodie that really give it a good comfy look. One of my favorite things about the hoodie is how the bottom is cut, so that it looks nicer than the average, lazy hoodie. Here are the buttons and pins that I put on the jacket. They are all different shapes, colors, and sizes, which makes it look balanced and not too much. If you want to see where the pins on the left are from, check out this blog post. My friend gave me the pin on the right from Disney, and it is super cute! 2. BuisnessThis second look takes a casual cropped sweater and dresses it up a little. I am wearing a thin, flowy, short sleeved, button up soft pink shirt under a fuzzy cropped sweater. I added a accent necklace to finish the business look. It is still super comfy, and would be perfect for an outing or going somewhere when you want to look a little nice. Here is where everything is from: Sweater: JC Penny Shirt: Forever 21 Jeans: American Eagle Boots: H&M Necklace: H&M The look of the top reminds me of a lot of shirts seen in stores, where they have two tops sewn together. I didn't think it would look cute if I tried to make it work myself, but it turned out really nice. I have been looking for a cute pair of black ankle boots for forever, and it was no surprise when I finally found the perfect pair at H&M. My other boots that are shown a lot on the blog are also from H&M, and they are my favorite pair of shoes ever. I love how good the quality is, how cute they are, and also how cheap they are! Both boots were found for under $50. That concludes this outfit post, it is the first of 2017! How is 2017 going for you so far? Let me know in the comments below. Also, if you have any personal tips on how to layer in winter, I would love to hear them! I also wanted to point out that I have been posting more often on social media recently, so make sure you are following me on all platforms to get more info and pictures from the blog. Have a fantastic week!
